Gary Kneip is the CEO and Chairman, and co-founder of SecureIT.

After teaching for a few years, Gary Kneip began managing businesses and people. In 1985, he started up Digital Equipment Luxembourg, which he left in 1989 to manage the Internal Organisation and ICT divisions at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (now Dexia). In 1993, he founded TECSYS (then one of the largest system integrators in Luxembourg) and was the CEO and Chairman. In 2000, TECSYS acquired another ICT company and Gary Kneip was appointed CEO and Chairman of the merged structure (primesphere). He left this function at the end of 2003 to start up SecureIT.

Gary Kneip has also been heavily involved in Luxembourg’s employers (lobby) organisations for over 15 years, which have allowed him to gain extensive insight into the political and economical mechanics driving Luxembourg’s society.

Gary is Vice-president of the national Economic & Social Council as well as Vice-President of Luxembourg’s Confederation of Commerce Federations representing the Services sector.

He is the founder and first President and Board member of Luxembourg’s association of ICT professionals (APSI); founding Board member of the Alternative Telecom Operators’ association (OPAL); Board member of Luxembourg’s employers’ mutual social insurance and of Luxembourg’s social security investment fund; President of Luxembourg’s employers’ head organisation’s CSR task force; former President of Luxembourg’s Young Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (FJD).

Gary Kneip was born in Luxembourg in 1955. He speaks Luxembourgish, German, French, English and Flemish fluently.

Michael Maus manages the company’s co-location and
Datacenter business.

He understands client needs, whether for national financial institutions or international clients, with small or very large infrastructures.
He is responsible for the tailor-made implementation and failure-free operations and delivery of SecureIT’s DC centric service portfolio and other related ICT services.

He started his professional career at the age of 16, working for 10 years at German Telecom. In parallel, he followed a bilingual studies course in Computer Science, (in Germany and France), graduating in 1997. Since then he has worked in Luxembourg as a Business Manager for IT System Management solutions, Senior IT Security Consultant and Specialist ICT Project Manager.

Michael Maus is German, and also speaks French, English and Luxembourgish fluently.

Werner Kietzmann joined SecureIT as Chief Technical Officer in December 2003 and is also responsible for the technical operations of our Datacenter in Luxembourg.

In 2003, his first challenge at SecureIT was to upgrade the Cloche d’Or Datacenter from a Tier 2 to a Tier 3+ without any disruption to the then existing operations. Before he started at SecureIT, Werner was a Datacenter Technical Manager and Designer for more than 19 years, designing Datacenters throughout Europe. Werner has also developed a deep understanding of how to securely operate a Datacenter by emphasising the coaching of staff and service suppliers and fostering a strong framework of working standards and procedures to attain high quality and transparency levels. Werner’s main task is to optimise SecureIT’s installations for high energy efficiency and environmental protection.

Werner Kietzmann was born near Berlin in 1959 and graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer. A native German speaker, he is also fluent in English and has a fair understanding of spoken French and Russian.
